[Agenda topic 3] Death of Brian Howes/fond
Study
Discussion: Brian Howes died December 22"`' at the age of 70 in East Sandwich. Last pond samples for
this year were done the first week of December. Samples were collected near the bog before and after
flooding for picking the cranberries. Ed Eichner of TMD Solutions and SMAST will update the select
Board sometime in April. Sampling will resume in the spring. It is hoped that more information will get
out to the public. The committee agreed no one can replace Brian and his knowledge. It appears Ed
Eichner will lead the rest of the pond study. Sampling will resume in the spring.
................. ..........................._._..__..... .._. .. .............. ..____..... _.... ... ....... ...........
Conclusion: Brian will be missed. Ed Eichner will continue with the study of the pond in the spring.
{Agenda topic 41 Ground Breaking/Wastewater
Treatment Plant
Discussion: Ground breaking for the new plant took place December 8, 2022. A picture was printed in
The Enterprise of representatives of the Sewer Commission. Water District, and Select Board. No public
was invited.
