SHELLFISH COMMISSION <br /> MEETING MINUTES <br /> MARCH 14, 2023 —6:OOPM <br /> MASHPEE TOWN HALL— 16 GREAT NECK ROAD NORTH <br /> WAQU0IT MEETING ROOM <br /> PRESENT: Chair Peter Thomas, Co-Chair, Dick Cook, Bill Holmes, Daryl Christensen, Buddy <br /> Pocknett, Jaime Pachico <br /> OTHER ANTENDEES: Shellfish Constable, Chris Avis <br /> Water Quality Technician, Tyler Grady <br /> John Quiterio <br /> ABSENT: N/A <br /> CALL MEETING TO ORDER: Chair Thomas called the meeting to order in Open Session in the <br /> Waquoit Meeting Room at 6:OOPM. <br /> PUBLIC COMMENT: None at this time. <br /> MINUTES: Discussion and approval of the February 14, 2023 Shellfish Commission Meeting minutes. <br /> A motion was made by Mr. Christensen to accept the February 14, 2023 Shellfish Commission Meeting <br /> minutes as written. <br /> Motion seconded by Mr. Cook. <br /> Motion passed by unanimous consent. <br /> COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE: None at this time. <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> 1. Staffing update on the Natural Resources Officer open position. <br /> Mr. Avis introduced Tyler Grady to the Commissioners as the new Water Quality Technician, stating that <br /> he started the position at the end of January. <br /> The Natural Resources Officer position is still in the hiring process with two eligible candidates. <br /> There have been three letters of intent received for seasonal shellfish interns. Mr.Avis said he is hoping <br /> for three additional letters of interest. <br /> 2. Update on Application for Aquaculture Grant by Jaime Pachico. <br /> It was stated that Mr. Pachico is missing approval documentation from the Waterways Commission and <br /> will need to obtain it before being put on the April 3, 2023 Select Board Agenda. <br /> 1 <br />
