MASHPEE ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS <br /> MEETING MINUTES <br /> March 22,2023 <br /> Mr. Goldstein noticed that the garage is a foot more non-conforming than the shed. <br /> Chairman Furbush asked if the house will be on piles. Attorney Guard said; yes. <br /> Mr. Riviera said that because the flood zone is AE, not a V zone the house does not need to be on <br /> piles.The house will have flood vents,unless the applicant wants piles. If enclosed with a slab it's <br /> considered a"story". <br /> Mr. Morris said that the first elevated area would be considered a"story"above grade if the house <br /> is built on a non-pervious floor. <br /> Mr. Bonvie mentioned to pay attention to the peak height as well. The Board will need to see the <br /> elevations on the architectural plans inclusive of the first floor. <br /> Mr. Rivera said that trenches will be installed instead of dry wells because of the flood elevations. <br /> Mr. Bonvie had a discussion with Mr. Rivera regarding the engineering performed on the ground <br /> water. Mr. Rivera said that the testing was done in September 1999. Mr. Bonvie asked Mr. Rivera <br /> to provide the calculations for the Board. <br /> Chairman Furbush asked what material is used for the driveway. Mr. Rivera said crushed stone. <br /> Mr. Furbush asked if bringing fill onto a lot is an issue. Mr. Morris said;not at this time. Fill is not <br /> allowed if in a V-zone. But this application is an AE zone. <br /> Attorney Guard requested a continuance until April 26, 2023. Mr. Bonvie made a motion that the <br /> Board accept the applicant's request. Mr. Gould seconded. Mr. Pittsley, yes, Mr. Gould, yes, Mr. <br /> Goldstein,yes, Mr. Bonvie,yes, and Mr. Furbush, yes. All were in favor. <br /> OTHER BUSINESS <br /> -Approve the Meeting Minutes dated March 8, 2023. <br /> Ms. Sangeleer made a motion that the Board approve the meeting minutes. Mr. Gould seconded. <br /> All were in favor. <br /> Mr. Pittsley made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Mr. Gould seconded. All were in favor.
