Nichols <br /> Attendees: Members: Barbara Nichols, Mike Rapacz, Don MacDonald <br /> Paul Bibo/phone <br /> Guests: Ashley Fisher DNR <br /> The minutes of the March 28, 2023 meeting were accepted as written after a motion by Paul Bibo and <br /> second by Mike Rapacz. <br /> Agenda topics <br /> [Agenda topic 1] Lake level/River outflow <br /> Discussion: Debi did the lake measurements on April 1st and 15"'. There were 55.4 and 55.3 feet above sea <br /> level. There were 15 and 13 inches of water were flowing over the board closest to the lake. On the 1 st <br /> there were 12 inches of water in the stream and 13 inches on the 15th. The new metal gauge by DPW <br /> decreased from 13.5 to 12.5 during this time period. DPW had dredged the stream on both sides of the <br /> cage at the end of March. Barbara measured 2.4 inches of rain in her gauge from mid-April to mid May. <br /> Levels were reported to Drew McManus in Conservation. <br /> Conclusions: The water levels have decreased slightly with lower precipitation. <br /> [Agenda topic 2] Pond Study <br /> Discussion: Ed Eichner from TMDL Solutions and SMAST Coastal Systems updated the Select Board <br /> with a technical memo April 3rd. The sonde tubes were deployed in mid-April and the testing resumed <br /> then. Data from around the boat ramp and cranberry bogs has been collected as have sediment cores from <br /> the deep basins. The oxygen levels have further decreased in the deeper holes of each lake and as early as <br /> June 22"d last year. Data from this study will be compared with the last 20 years of PALS (Ponds and <br /> Lake Stewards)data. <br /> Conclusions: Testing resumed in mid- April. <br />
