Data Review from GHD to Consider Next Direction of Town Sewers.
Anastasia Rudenkho gave a presentation on the current Notice of Project Change Plan.
It was stated that the Plant is designed to be expanded into 4 processing lines. The current processing line 1 is
designed for 120k gallons per day and each additional stage will add another 120k gallons per day.
Anastasia stated that the wastewater generated by the different properties that are tied into the first stage of
the system is calculated by parcel by parcel water use data of the properties. This is anticipated to be
approximately 64k gallons per day. Additionally, the State mandates an allocation of 12,700 for infiltration
and inflow. Leaving 43k gallons per day remaining to reach capacity on line 1. Roughly 250 properties.
Anastasia stated that the geographic area moving forward is not etched in stone and that if they see
opportunities for a more cost effective approach they will be recommended for the Commission’s
consideration.

3. Review Status of Aquaculture Component of the Nitrogen Mitigation Plan.
Mr. Jack stated that GHD reviewed the Nitrogen Mitigation Plan with the Director of Natural Resources, Ashley
Fisher.
Anastasia said there is a proposed revision to the original program that was laid out in the 2015 program.
Looking at what are the best areas to continue with shellfish propagation and what areas may need to rely
more on sewer as part of the overall program. This will factor into phasing. There will always be a
contingency that shellfish propagation be scaled down and there will be sewer considered for those areas.
But, the preferred plan is to continue with shellfish in the areas that the Natural Resources Department
recommends.
2
