<br /> <br />Explanation: This article seeks to appropriate and transfer $6,578,527 from the Capital Stabilization Fund, <br />Ambulance Receipts, Recreation Revolving Fund, School Choice Funds, School Department Grants and the <br />Mashpee Cable and Advanced Technology Funds for the FY 2024 capital budget. This article requires a 2/3 vote. <br /> <br />The Select Board recommends approval of Article 3 by a vote of 5-0 <br />The Finance Committee recommends approval of Article 3 by a vote of 7-0 <br /> <br />Motion made by Select Board Member Cotton <br /> <br />Motion: I move the Town vote to appropriate and transfer the sum of $6,578,527, as follows: $2,016,527 from <br />the Capital Stabilization Fund, $425,000 from Ambulance Receipts Reserved for Appropriation Account, $42,000 <br />Recreation Revolving Account, $100,000 from the Mashpee Cable and Advanced Technology Account, <br />$1,495,000 from School Grants, and $2,500,000 from School Choice Fund to various department Capital <br />Accounts, as specified in the chart accompanying this Article. <br /> <br />Motion passes unanimously at 7:42 PM <br /> <br />Article 4 <br /> <br />To see if the Town will vote to approve the annual regional school district budget for the Cape Cod Regional <br />Technical High School District for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2023, in the amount of $16,750,000 and <br />further, to see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $981,293 to meet its share of the cost of <br />operation and maintenance of the Cape Cod Regional Technical High School District for the fiscal year beginning <br />July 1, 2023, or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> <br /> Submitted by the Select Board <br /> <br />Explanation: Mashpee’s share of the Cape Cod Regional Technical High School budget is $981,293. There are <br />currently 50 students from Mashpee at the Cape Cod Regional Technical High School, an increase of 2 students <br />from the previous year. <br /> <br />The Select Board recommends approval of Article 4 by a vote of 5-0 <br />The Finance Committee recommends approval of Article 4 by a vote of 7-0 <br /> <br />Motion made by Select Board Member O’Hara <br /> <br />Motion: I move that the Town vote to approve Article 4 as printed in the Warrant, with the exception of the <br />phrase “or take any other action relating thereto.” <br /> <br />Motion passes unanimously at 7:42 PM <br /> <br /> <br />
