<br /> <br />MINUTES <br />MASHPEE BOARD OF SEWER COMMISSIONERS <br />THURSDAY JUNE 8, 2023, 2:00 p.m. <br />MASHPEE TOWN HALL <br />WAQUOIT MEETING ROOM <br />16 GREAT NECK ROAD NORTH <br />MASHPEE, MA 02649 <br />*In-person, televised meeting* <br /> <br />Present: Chair, Chad Smith, Vice-Chair, Meredith Harris, Clerk, Catherine Castaneda, <br /> Joe Lyons, Phyllis Sprout <br /> <br />Other attendees: Carl Cavossa, <br /> John Cotton, Town of Mashpee Select Board, Chair <br /> Susan Dangel, President, Save Mashpee Wakeby Pond Alliance <br /> Frank Goodfall, Project Representative, GHD <br /> Diane Kelly, Summerwood Condominiums <br /> Zackary Seabury, Town of Mashpee Health Agent <br /> Sandra Tripp, GHD <br /> Michaela Wyman-Columbo, Town of Mashpee Select Board <br /> <br /> Absent: Interim Town Engineer, Ray Jack <br /> Al Towle <br /> <br />2:00PM – Convene Meeting Chair, Chad Smith called the meeting to order at 2:00PM in open session at <br />Mashpee Town Hall, Waquoit Meeting Room. <br /> <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> <br />MOMENT OF SILENCE <br /> <br />PUBLIC PARTICIPATION <br />Susan Dangel gave a video presentation of aerial footage of the algae mat currently in the Mashpee River, <br />Shoestring Bay and Mashpee Neck Marina. She expressed the importance of getting funding into the pipeline <br />with the deadline to apply for State Revolving Funds (SRF) coming up on August 11th. <br /> <br />John Cotton and Michaela Wyman-Columbo spoke regarding the urgency of getting the next step of the <br />project underway. <br />Michaela Wyman-Columbo explained that the Project Evaluation Form (PEF), which is due within 63 days from <br />today, is not a full blown plan, but a justification for moving forward and will put the project in the position to <br />be on the State’s priority list. <br /> <br />It was requested by Chair Smith that GHD create a draft PEF available at the next Sewer Commission meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br />
