Collins, Darlene Furbush, Catherine Lewis, A. <br /> Gregory McKelvey, Don Myers, Carol A. Sherman, Mary Waygan <br /> Pledge of Alleitiance <br /> Moment of Silence <br /> Chair John Miller mention the passing of Ray Jack and extended his condolences to his wife and <br /> family. <br /> Public Hearin <br /> 6:30 Public hearing: Public Comment and Concerns regarding the Town Of Mashpee Charter <br /> Don Myers opened the public hearing for the committee to entertain any comments or concerns <br /> from the public regarding the Town Charter. <br /> Motion made by Carol Sherman to convene the public hearing, motion seconded <br /> Miller,yes Weeden,yes Collins,yes Furbush,yes Lewis, yes McKelvey, yes <br /> Myers, yes Sherman, yes Waygan, yes <br /> Vote: Unanimous <br /> Chair John Miller explained the characterization of the Charter, it defines the organization, <br /> powers, functions and essential procedures of our local government as well as the rights of <br /> citizens. It outlines everything from the town's name to town elections to the process for making <br /> rules/procedures. <br /> Mashpee's Charter was adopted in 2004, revised in 2014 and is now being reviewed again a <br /> process required every 10 years. The committee will not be moving forward with any changes <br /> until after the review is complete in the late summer.The committee will bring forward its report <br /> to present to the voters at spring 2024 town meeting. <br />
