...................................................... <br /> {Agenda topic 4 Cyanobacteria Bloom in Mashpee Wakeby <br /> Discussion: A cyanobacteria bloom was noted in the Sturgis Lane area of Mashpee Lake on June 151h and <br /> by the 161h,the lakes both looked like pea soup with high toxin levels. Tests were being done weekly and <br /> visibility checks daily, and levels still remain above the advisory level. Bloom was last noted the 201h in a <br /> cove by the Narrows. The Mashpee Wakeby Alliance was quick to put out their warning signs to notify <br /> that people and pets should stay out. Ashley said the Town web site contains three notices: on news on the <br /> first page and on Natural Resources and Board of Health pages. She advised signing up for"urgent alerts" <br /> on the first page of the web site. Recent heavy rains have aggravated the situation. <br /> The death of Ray Jack, Town engineer hired to head the wastewater project had been a big loss. <br /> According to last Select Board meeting. Mr. Collins has set three goals to keep the project moving and <br /> plans to get funding in place. <br /> ............--.................- ....................... <br /> Conclusion: The lakes have been under a cyanobacteria advisory since the 15th <br /> {Agenda topic 5) Lowell Holly Manager Named <br /> ...................... ........ <br /> Discussion: Mike Francis has been named new manager of Lowell Holly. He has worked for the Trustees <br /> for 19 years. He can be reached in the office at 508-636-4693 Ext. 3 or by email at <br /> mfrancisgthetrustees.org. In an emergency, he can be reached by cell at 508-641-3354. He was not <br /> aware of the cyanobacteria advisory on the lake. <br /> ................ <br /> Conclusion: Mike Francis is the new Manager at Lowell Holly. <br /> [Agenda topic 61" Harbormaster Briefs <br /> Discussion: The Harbormaster sent an email that all the swim buoys the Town is responsible for have <br /> been deployed.
