Town Of Mashplee Historic District Commission <br /> �^ 16 Great Neck Road North <br /> Mashpee, MA 02649 <br /> Mashpee Historic District Commission <br /> Minutes of Meeting <br /> Tuesday,July 19,2022 at 9:30 AM <br /> Mashpee Town Hall—South Cape Meeting Room <br /> Historic District Commission Members Present: Chairman Brian Hyde, Bradford Pittsley, Dennis <br /> Balzarini, and Earl Mills <br /> Also: Evan Lehrer,Town Planner <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> The Town of Mashpee Historic District Commission meeting was called to order by Chairman Hyde at <br /> 9:39 a.m.on July 19, 2022 and the Pledge of Allegiance was recited. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> The minutes from September 22,2021 were presented for approval. <br /> MOTION: Mr. Balzarini made a motion to accept the minutes as printed. Mr. Mills seconded the motion. <br /> All voted unanimously. <br /> PROPOSED PROJECTS <br /> Chairman Hyde then opened the Public Hearing for Michael and Lisa Cannata for Wildfire Pizza of 2A <br /> Center Street. <br /> Public Hearing <br /> Applicant: Michael and Lisa Cannata,Wildfire Pizza <br /> Location: 2A Center St, Mashpee, MA <br /> Request: Certificate of Appropriateness <br /> Description: The Applicant is seeking endorsement of Certificate of Appropriateness for new <br /> commercial building signage along rear fagade and side facing Main Street(Route <br /> 130)and the addition of a ladder sign panel. <br /> The Chair read for the record the Public Hearing Notice and request. Lisa Cannata was present to <br /> discuss the proposal regarding their property at 2A Center St. Ms. Cannata explained that the scope of <br /> work being done should be included in the Commissioners' packets and clarified the signage that <br /> Wildfire is looking to construct. Mr. Lehrer noted that the signs within the Commission's jurisdiction at <br /> this juncture are the small panels on the rear, along with the front signage. <br /> A gentleman from public comment asked where the 5 x 5 ft. sign is planned and Diana Ruiz from the <br /> Native Land Conservancy stated that she believed the sign he was referring to was hers. Mr. Lehrer <br /> clarified that the plans delineate a 5 x 5 ft. sign, but have been moderated to 4 x 5 ft.on the roadside <br /> frontage by the Design Review Committee.The gentleman from public comment asked about the 24 x <br /> 48 signage that was proposed. Mr. Lehrer stated that the 24 by 48 sign was not within the jurisdiction of <br /> the Commission because it is outside the view of the public way. Mr. Lehrer added that the 48 x 60 and <br /> the 10 x 38 signs are what is being voted on today. <br /> 1 <br />
