Finance Committee <br />Minutes <br />August 10, 2023 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Talia Landry, as Lead Petitioner of Article 13 of the Draft Town Warrant, provided an explanation of this Article <br />seeking the Town’s conveyance of Parcel No’s: 28-2-0 (35 Lave Ave.), 36-80-0 (409 Main St.) and 28-3-0 (415 <br />Main St.) to the Tribe with the intent to construct a true replica of a Wampanoag Village. <br />Ms. Landry explained she has obtained grant funds to develop a pre-contact home site on the land. She stated <br />that the overall mission is to recreate the same village that was previously there during the 1970’s depicting <br />daily life and will provide historical, educational and cultural information to the Tribal Community as well at the <br />General Public. <br />This Article will require a 2/3 vote at Town Meeting. <br /> <br />2.
