Chair Thomas went on to state that the Town has been very generous in terms of seed and propagation <br /> and that he hopes people are aware of what is going on. <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> I. Shellfish Constable's Report. <br /> Chris Avis reported that the orders with Cape Cod Oyster are fulfilled. <br /> He stated that there was an issue with the hatchery at Clam Daddy and the order had to be changed to <br /> 300,000 seed delivered in late August which is half of what was previously anticipated. <br /> Chris reported that 319,000 r-6 oysters have been received from ARC and 1,420,000 quahogs remain to <br /> be delivered and are scheduled to arrive Thursday. <br /> Chris went on to report that all of the FLUPSY docks are full. 48 2x2 cages have been placed lining the <br /> banks of Little River and 19 cages have been put out at Thatch Island and they continue to remove the <br /> older gear from Thatch Island. <br /> Chris stated that there is an overabundance of quahogs at Thatch Island and if shell fishing opens back up <br /> this Sunday after testing it will be reopened to both recreational and commercial shell fishing. <br /> It was reported that all of the vessels are in service and are equipped with Coast Guard safety <br /> requirements. <br /> Chris stated that DMF has advised them to check all oyster landings during vibrio season and so far has <br /> check Poppy Oyster Co. with no infractions. Reports have been sent to DMF. <br /> Jaime Pachico stated that he is on the waiting list with the DMF and was told, "hopefully,before <br /> September". <br /> Chris reported that they are losing their biologist at the DMF and isn't sure who will be taking over the <br /> position. <br /> Staff is down a bit due to people returning to school. <br /> ADDITIONAL TOPICS: None at this Time. <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> A motion to adjourn was made by Mr. Christensen. <br /> Motion seconded by Mr. Avis. <br /> Motion was passed by unanimous consent. <br /> Meeting adjourned at 6:25pm. <br /> Respectfully Submitted, <br /> Susan Donovan <br /> Board Secretary <br /> 2 <br />
