Sandra Godfrey (Yes)
Paul Colombo (Yes)
4 – 0 (unanimous)

6:15 Kristopher Houle, 45 Buccaneer Way. Proposed re-construction of front deck, stairs, RDA

walkway and back patio, repair of existing retaining wall with improvements in site drainage,

driveway re-pave and expansion with associated landscaping. Representative: Self (Owner
of Record: Michael F. & Carol A. Houle).

Mr. Colombo asked about parking area increase (going back to boat storage area) which will
be removed which will match the grade of boat storage. The other wall will on the right will
be removed along with trees. Mr. Cook noted lack of information on the application (where
is the coastal bank?) – need more details. The applicant noted that there would cost for a
survey and the work would be done be mostly grading and most of the work is outside the
100’ buffer zone. Regarding plantings, the applicant would be amenable to anything the
Commission asked. Mr. Kent noted some of the trees had damage and should be removed.
Regarding cutting, the stumps will need to be ground down stumps if the time of year would
be during the warmer months. Mr. McManus raised issue of draining patterns. Currently,
the runoff will continue to flow to street. Mr. McManus noted that was no danger to coastal
bank and meets standards but noted the lack of information. Mr. Cook suggested a
continuance with a stamped plan to make an informed decision on grade and 100’ buffer.
The applicant reiterated that they were willing to do whatever mitigation requested. Mr. Cook
reiterated the need for more information including drainage and erosion control. The
applicant conceded that part of the scope of work was within the Commission’s authority.

\[Regarding a continuance, the request must be made by the applicant. Mr. McManus’
recommendation was a continuance for applicant to provide additional information on
grading changes and consideration of withdrawing portions of request regarding removal of
pitch pines and grubbing activity on right side of the home. A motion was made but not
acquiesced by the applicant\]

The applicant asked to reopen hearing to allow the applicant to confer with the owner in lieu
of a continuance

Mr. Cook made a motion to table the hearing to later in the evening seconded by Ms.
Godfrey.

Roll Call Vote:
Steve Cook (Yes)
Erin Copeland (Yes)
Sandra Godfrey (Yes)
Paul Colombo (Yes)
4 – 0 (unanimous)

6:18 Steven M. and Jill M.
