SHELLFISH COMMISSION <br /> MEETING MINUTES <br /> SEPTEMBER 12, 2023 —6:OOPM <br /> MASHPEE TOWN HALL— 16 GREAT NECK ROAD NORTH <br /> WAQUOIT MEETING ROOM <br /> PRESENT: Chair,Peter Thomas, Co-Chair, Dick Cook, Shellfish Constable, Chris Avis, <br /> Daryl Christensen, Buddy Pocknett <br /> OTHER ATTENDEES: Matt Haney <br /> Natural Resources Officer, Chris Lucier <br /> ABSENT: Bill Holmes <br /> Jaime Pachico <br /> CALL MEETING TO ORDER: Chair Thomas called the meeting to order in Open Session in the <br /> Waquoit Meeting Room at 6:OOPM. <br /> PUBLIC COMMENT: None at this time. <br /> MINUTES: Discussion and approval of the August 8, 2023 Shellfish Commission Meeting minutes. <br /> A motion was made by Mr. Christensen to accept the August 8, 2023 Shellfish Commission Meeting <br /> minutes. <br /> Motion seconded by Mr.Avis. <br /> Motion passed by unanimous consent. <br /> COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE: None at this time. <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> 1. Update on Pending Aquaculture Grants. <br /> It was reported that Jaime Pachico has his Notice of Intent into the Conservation Commission and the State. <br /> He will be on the Conservation Commission October agenda. He still has not heard from DMF. <br /> Mr. Avis reported that John Quiterio is still in the waiting process. <br /> Mr. Avis also reported that he has reached out to Mike Ronhock and hasn't gotten any response. He stated <br /> that there are several years of reports missing from Mr. Ronhock. He hasn't submitted any reports of seed <br /> orders that were accompanied by a receipt and there have not been any reports of oyster sales since Mr. <br /> Avis has been the Shellfish Commissioner. <br /> Chair Thomas made a motion to request the Natural Resources Director to send a registered letter <br /> to Mike Ronhock requesting an update on the status of his grant. <br /> Motion seconded by Mr. Christensen. <br /> Motion passed by Unanimous Consent. <br /> 1 <br />
