<br />150’ buffer zone approved at the May Town meeting and noted it was the Conservation <br />Commission decision of when to roll the new rule out to affect future permits. Mr. Kent <br />has been contacting contractors on the upcoming change. As an aside, another Article <br />regarding a land swap to compensate the Conservation Commission for the <br />encroachment on Conservation Commission land. (3 Santuit Land) is moving forward. <br />State Representative Vieira informed Mr. McManus that the proposed swap solution was <br />received positively. Mr. McManus was unsure if that swap needed to be approved at <br />the Town Meeting. <br /> <br />th <br />At the October 20 meeting there will be a vote on the filing deadline for the 150’ buffer <br />th <br />change (Implementation if Clerk receives word by September 25). <br /> <br />th <br />Mr. Cook made a motion to set October 20 as the implementation date, which was <br />seconded by Ms. Copeland. <br /> <br />Roll Call Vote: <br /> <br />Steven Cook (Yes) <br />Erin Copeland (Yes) <br />Sandra Godfrey (Yes) <br />Paul Colombo (Yes) <br /> <br />4 – 0 (unanimous) <br /> <br />\[The Town of Mashpee is the first Cape Cod to implement the 150’ buffer change\] <br /> <br /> Discussion on Commission purview and review criterion. Other boards and commissions <br /> <br />It was decided to wait until a full roster of Commissioners were present to discuss this. <br /> <br />\[Mr. Cook suggested the tension regarding Regulation 25 and Bylaw 172-2 conflict be <br />addressed – land subject to coastal flow is a resource area with a buffer zone issue. Mr. <br />McManus noted the standards should be based on the performance standards\] <br /> <br /> Update <br /> <br />Chop Chaque Bog Restoration-NOI on the October 5th hearing agenda.
