Protect. <br />BOARD OF HEALTH - PUBLIC SESSION <br />Mashpee Town Hall — POPPONESSET MEETING ROOM <br />Minutes of the Meeting of October 6, 2022 <br />Board Members Present: Also Present: <br />Brian Baumgaertel, Chair Zackary Seabury, Health Agent <br />Ernest Virgilio, Vice -Chair Christine Willander, Asst. Health Agent <br />Chair Baumgaertel called the October 6, 2022 Board of Health meeting to order at 6:00 PM. <br />OLD BUSINESS: <br />1. 324A Great Neck Road North Mr. Seabury commented at the previous meeting, the Board <br />discussed this matter in the context of the Town's Comprehensive Wastewater Plan. At the <br />meeting, Board members acknowledged that the timeline for sewer at this location is currently <br />uncertain. The Chair suggested that, prior to the next meeting, the Assistant Health Agent <br />request additional information from the Town Engineer regarding the status of sewer in that <br />area. While we still do not have a definitive answer, based on a lengthy conversation with the <br />Town Engineer, it is not anticipated that this facility will see Town sewer within the next 5-10 <br />years. <br />Mr. Seabury described options to bring it into compliance. With one system in failure and two <br />on it, it's better to have one facility on the property and not each individual to hang on to one <br />system. With DEP possibly speeding upthe process of making people upgrade to IA Systems. If <br />they're goingto upgrade the bestoption would be to upgrade to an IA system now before they <br />spend moneyto put in a conventional system and the DEP tells them to they have to upgrade to <br />an IA system. Financially it would be best to have all facility to one IA System. <br />Ernest Virgilio making the motion to accept as long an IA System in the design and the system is <br />brought up to code with the current regulations. Brian Baumgaertel seconding. <br />Roll Call Vote: Ernest Virgilio (yes), Brian Baumgaertel (yes) VOTE: unanimous (2-0) <br />2. COVID update Mr. Seabury commented that the department participated in bi-weekly DPH <br />webinars and bi-weekly conference calls with the Cape Cod Health Agents' Coalition <br />Provide test kits and guidance to Town employees who are experiencing symptoms, are <br />close contacts or have tested positive. Maintained communication with administrators <br />at local congregate care facilities and provided guidance relative to a staff positives. <br />Maintained the Town website COVID-19 page. Scheduled combined flu/booster clinics on <br />October 20th from 9-12:00 and November loth from 3-6:00 at Christ the King Parish Hall. <br />Pre -registration is required through MyChart, with the option to register through Cape <br />
