Cod Healthcare's central registration phone line for those who do not have computer
access.
CDC has updated its guidance for people who know they have been exposed to COVID-
19, and initially provided some incorrect isolation guidance for individuals who test
positive, which they subsequently corrected.
• If you were exposed to COVID-19, regardlessof your vaccination status: CDC recommends
that instead of quarantining, you wear a high -quality mask for 10 days and get tested 5
full days after your last exposure (Day 6).
• Regardless of vaccination status, individuals who test positive must isolate at home for 5
days from the date of symptom onset or positive test result, whichever came first. If,
after 5 days, the individual has been fever -free for 24 hours without the use of
medication, and symptoms are improving, they may end their isolation on Day 6, but must
continue to mask through Day 10. If they test negative twice after their release from
isolation, and the tests were administered 48 hours apart, they may remove their mask
prior to Day 11.
• The joint early childhood & K-12 guidance for students and staff has also been updated.
NEW BUSINESS:
1. Review and approval of meeting minutes for August 4, 2022 Regular session
The minutes for the August 4, 2022 meeting were unanimously approved with Ernest Virgilio
making the motion to accept the minutes as provided with Brian Baumgaertel seconding.
Roll Call Vote: Ernest Virgilio (yes), Brian Baumgaertel (yes) VOTE: unanimous (2-0)
2. Review and approval of Expense Warrants
The warrants were reviewed and approved with Members signing the warrants presented by Mr.
Seabury.
3. 131 Industrial Drive Mr. Seabury commented that a spray booth has been requested as part of a
building permit for the above location. The business is doing the right thing by providing a spray
booth but the operation itself is considered a noisome trade by definition. The Board of Health
must issue a site approval for noisome trades with the benefit of a hearing. The Office of Technical
Assistance has a guidance document for businesses that operate paint or coatings operations.
The guidance states that the exhaust should be both 35 feet above grade and 10 feet above the
roof line. Conversations with DEP-Air Quality Section recommends the stack height be 1.5 times
the building height or 45 feet in this case. Ten feet above the roof line puts the exhaust at40 feet
above grade so I believe that meets the guidance.
The discharge to the paint booth is approximately 430 feet from residences on Bearberry Circle
to the southeast.
