[Agenda topic 3] Wastewater Treatment <br /> Discussion: No new information was received by the committee. <br /> .......... --------- <br /> Conclusion: No new information was received. <br /> Agenda topic 41 Mashpee Pond Beach Water Samling/Barnstable Cty <br /> Discussion: Barnstable County did their beach testing weekly from June 91h to August 30th which <br /> included Attaquin and Camp Farley. All tests were negative for E-Cali and coliforin bacteria. <br /> ___ __........... ...........____ .......... <br /> Conclusion: Mashpee Pond beaches were negative for bacteria during the swim season. <br /> {Agenda topic 51 Mike Rapacz ResignationNacancy in MWLMC <br /> Discussion: Mike Rapacz has resigned from the committee. We will miss his contributions. This leaves <br /> a vacancy in the committee which we are trying to fill. The Alliance will give notice in their newsletter. <br /> Don notified the Lakewood Shores President to see if anyone in their association was interested in <br /> serving. <br /> Conclusion: We have a vacancy on the committee which needs to be filled. <br /> (Agenda Topic 61 DNR Briefs <br /> Discussion: Ashley Fisher attended and updated us on several items. The cyanobacteria scare September <br /> 11"' showed safe cell counts; however, the "Make a Splash Event" choose to make it an all-boat event for <br /> safety reasons. Jet skis are becoming a bigger problem, especially on Sunday when contractors come from <br /> a distance. The Environmental Police feel there should be a ban on all fresh water ponds in Mashpee and <br /> a petition article at town meeting was suggested, and is being considered. The plan and permit from <br /> APCC for the state boat ramp have been received.
