Deb told the Board that she spoke to the Town Manager to move all voting from the
Quashnet School. She had thought that the first election to utilize the new polling places
would be March of 2024 State Primary. However, reflecting on this scenario, she
decided it would be better to acclimate the voters to a new location before it was a major
election. The Polling Places would be:
Precincts 1 & 2 at the Senior Center/ Council on Aging
26 Frank E. Hicks Drive
Precincts 3 & 4 at the Town Hall, 16 Great Neck Road North
Precinct 5 at the Library in the Event Room
64 Steeple Street
Yvonne asked who will be in charge if it is broken up into 3 locations? Deb told everyone
that she now had 5 Wardens who she would split up to be there during election hours.
The Secretary of State said Deb may notify the public on Social Media sites, Facebook, the
newspaper and the Town Website. Deb informed the Board that she is going to mail a
notification for the change of polling place by sending one to every head of household who
are voters.
