<br /> Mashpee Inclusion and Diversity Committee <br /> 16 Great Neck Road North <br />Mashpee, MA 02649 <br />Meeting Minutes <br />Ockway Meeting Room <br />Tuesday, April 18, 2023 5:00P.M. <br />Public Call in Number (508)-539-1400 x 8585 <br />APPROVED: 05/16/2023 <br /> <br />Present: Chair Marie Stevenson, Richard Klein, Mohamad Fahd, Rowela Kent, Winnie <br />Johnson-Graham, Dan Kupferman, Jayden Bryant <br /> <br />Absent: Kim Landry, Katie Hennessey, Gail Wilson, John Cotton, Patricia DeBoer, Amna Iqbal <br /> <br />Also Present: Rolfe Brandt <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />The meeting opened with a quorum and was called to order by Chair Stevenson at 5:00PM. <br /> <br />LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT <br />Today we acknowledge this meeting is being held on ancestral lands of the Wampanoag Tribe, <br />also known as People of the first Light. We pay respects to their elders past and present. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES: January 17, 2023 <br />Ms. Kent provided edits. On page 4, Ms. Kent asked if parents are made accountable for their <br />kids actions when these instances happen and are a part of the whole process, are they being <br />involved.” On page 5, Ms. Kent commented “it’s a great idea and she believes the school does <br />a buddy system”. On page 6, Ms. Kent offered to check with the Town Clerk’s office since <br />welcome letters are sent to new residents and they could use the assessor’s data base. <br />Corrections made. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br />Mr. Klein made a motion to approve the meeting minutes as amended.
