Marie Stevenson, Aiman Iqbal, Katie Hennessey, Kim Landry, Gail Wilson, Winnie <br />Johnson-Graham, Rowela Kent, Rolf Brandt <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Dan Kupferman called the meeting of the Mashpee Inclusion and Diversity Committee to order <br />at 5:11P.M. <br /> <br />LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT <br />Today we acknowledge this meeting is being held on ancestral lands of the Wampanoag Tribe, <br />also known as People of the first Light. We pay respects to their elders past and present. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES – August 22, 2023 <br />Postponed, awaiting quorum. <br /> <br />MEMBER UPDATES <br />Column – Dan Kupferman <br />The column came out on Friday, it was about Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, anti-Semitism, <br />and then segued into other current issues about racism and hate. He tried to focus on the <br />victims/ survivors rather than the perpetrators. <br /> <br />Mr. Klein thanked him for recognizing Rosh Hashanah and the meaning of the holiday but also <br />how he talked about local anti-Semitic and prejudice within the area. <br /> <br />Mr. Kupferman’s next column is the Friday prior to Town Meeting, it will come out Friday <br />th <br />October 13 and will focus on the two petition articles that the Tribe is putting on the Warrant. <br /> <br />Coalition – Mohamad Fahd <br />Mr. Fahd put together a facebook page for the Coalition, with the intent for people to announce <br />events and bring issues of interest to light. Two or three events have popped up, some people <br />are slowly signing up, the organization itself has over 30 entities. There needs to be a <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br />
