<br />OLD BUSINESS <br />N/A <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />1. Construction Update-GHD. <br />Sandra Tripp gave a construction update presentation stating that construction is moving along at the WRRF <br />with walls going up on the process building, the secondary distribution boxes are being installed and the <br />process tanks are almost entirely backfilled. UV channels are being formed. <br />Construction of the tanks continues. The odor control structure has been formed. <br />The preliminary treatment building has roofing installed, channels have been installed and equipment is <br />beginning to arrive. <br /> <br />Collection System, North work is complete on Carlton Drive, gravity sewer work at the entrance to the plant is <br />complete as is the work on Route 28 and the force main on Orchard Road. <br />For now, work at Sea Oaks is on hold. There will be paving being done on High Sachem Road in the Spring and <br />paving on Asher’s Path will be done in January but, could be pushed out until the Spring as well. <br /> <br />Collection System, South work is continuing with site restoration done in Summerwood, paving on Simons <br />Narrow Road and gravity sewer repair on Ships Rudder Drive and Ships Lantern Dr. It was stated that there <br />was also work being done at the pump station sites. <br />Final pavement will be commencing in the “Ships” roads area. It is expected that they will be working on <br />sewer installation during the Month of November on Quinaquisset and moving on to Mashpee Neck Road and <br />then Orchard Rd. <br />Siding, louvers and exterior features are going to be installed on the pump stations. <br /> <br />Cash flow on the WRRF is tracking a little bit below what was planned and is tracking at 46% time and 32% <br />spent. <br />Cash flow on the Collection System, North is tracking at 53% time and 70% spent. Sandra stated that she <br />believes this portion of the project will be done ahead of schedule. <br />Cash flow on the Collection System, South is tracking at 46% time and 51% spent. <br /> <br />Sandra stated that the two collection system projects are on time and are on budget. The plant is a little <br />behind due to them having trouble getting the gear in. <br /> <br />Phyllis Sprout inquired about Brewster Road and Harwich Lane in the Cotuit Corners development along with <br />other streets. Sandra stated that the Town Appropriated $12 million to that area at Town Meeting last spring <br />as they were alternates in the first phase. She stated that she is in the process of asking permission to <br />advertise on the Town’s behalf to take bids. This process will take about two months. <br />Sandra stated that they were advised by Counsel to rebid. <br /> <br />2. Website Revision Review. <br />Catherine Castaneda stated that Karen Leslie of the Planning Department has done some remarkable work on <br />the Sewer Commission’s web pages. <br />The focus lately has been on emails. A spreadsheet has been created to track incoming emails, phone calls, <br />in-person visits and follow-ups to the questions. The emails will be going to Karen Leslie in the Planning <br />Department. <br />She expressed the importance that answers be consistent and that a procedure be put into place in answering <br />them. <br /> <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br /> <br />
