A motion was made by Catherine Castaneda to adopt the Resident Inquiry Log on a trial basis.
Motion seconded Mr. Towle.
Motion passed by unanimous consent.

The Commission agreed that a formal policy and procedure be written up for addressing inquiries as well as
how emails will be handled to be voted on at the next meeting.

3. Schedule Website Informational Sessions.
The subject of time, location and staffing for the sessions was discussed. Co-Chair Harris stated that she has
spoken with Chris Ball of Mashpee TV and she said she would like to send an email to the Commissioners to
get feedback as to their availability to attend the sessions in order to have more flexibility in reserving time at
Mashpee TV, the Library or the Senior Center.
Chair Smith stated that changing the time of the Sewer Commission meetings would also help in making it
possible for the Public to attend the meetings. As it stands now, with the meeting time, it makes it difficult for
the working Public to attend meetings. He went on to state that the point of an open forum and an open
meeting is so that the Public is able to attend and ask questions and provide comments and if the meeting
time was changed there wouldn’t be a need for Informational Sessions. This item will be added to the next
meeting agenda for discussion.
Catherine Castaneda stated that there is a target population that may not feel comfortable attending
meetings.
Co-Chair Harris expressed the importance of scheduling the sessions before the upcoming vote at the end of
November.
It was agreed that the Commission would get their availability over to Co-Chair Harris by next Tuesday,
October 31, 2023.

4. Review and Discuss Questions emailed by Town Residents Regarding the Sewer Project.
This item was covered in agenda item #2.

5. Discussion of the New Special Election Regarding Sewer Project Funding.
The Special Election date is now November 28, 2023 and the mail ballots are available and due no later than
November 18, 2023.

Correspondence
None at this Time.
Additional Topics
None at this Time.

Next meeting:
November 9, 2023 @ 2:00PM
Mashpee Town Hall
Waquoit Meeting Room
16 Great Neck Road North
Mashpee, MA

3
