As of the time of the Shellfish Commission meeting there has
been no response.
Ashley Fisher stated that the previous Shellfish Constable was working on a case for non-compliance
with regard to Mr. Ronhock. She went on to state that she called Mr. Ronhock personally and left a
voicemail message indicated that he would be sited by the day if markers were not deployed. She did not
hear back from him. Ashley stated that he is clearly not working his grant, as he indicated to her in the
past that he has sponges. She expressed a concern for disease and that at this point the oysters that are
there are not marketable and that they should formally move forward with revocation.
Chair Thomas stated that he isn't sure of the power the Commission has but that he thinks that they
should move forward with a cease and desist immediately.
Co-Chair Cook asked if the site were to become available if the current conditions remain in place.
