MASHPEE COMMUNITY GARDEN ADVISORY COMMITTEE (MCGAC) MEETING MINUTES November 1S, 2023 @ 7:00 P.M. Popponesset Meeting Room PRESENT: Chair, Kirsten Nordstrom, Brian Logan (via Zoom), Polly Minugh (via Zoom), Virginia Scharfenberg (via Zoom) ABSENT: Frank Gallello, Roslyn Robinson Mann GUEST ATTENDEES: None at This Time. CALL TO ORDER: Chair, Kirsten Nordstrom called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. DISCUSS AND APPROVE MINUTES OF OCTOBER 18, 2023 MCGAC MEETING: This Item was Table until the next MCGAC Meeting. COMMUNICATIONS & CORRESPONDENCE: None at This Time. REPORTS: • Available Garden Plots and Wait List for 2024 — Kirsten Nordstrom. It was reported that Joe Salvo moved to Plot #12 and Roslyn Mann moved to Plot #20 leaving Plot #33 and Plot #26 open (these are small plots) and Plot #2, which is a raised plot, vacant. There are currently 4 waitlist applications. They are from Cindy Crawford, James Jackson, David Ciabattoni and Dine Heiler (1 application) and Debbie Cullen. There is 1 request by a current gardener, Sandy Godfred who is currently in Plot #30, to move to a larger plot should one become available. 0 Volunteer Hours Summary to Date — Polly Minugh Polly reported that there have not been any volunteer hours to date. • Advisory Committee Remaining Vacancies — Kirsten Nordstrom There are 2 vacancies on the Committee. Roslyn will reach out to the Enterprise but has a few questions she want to go over with Kirsten before doing so. Polly will reach out to Carla Rosenkranz via email to inquire about an interest in joining the Committee. Kirsten will reach out to Patrick Godfrey. The question was raised regarding the remaining length of the term of the open vacancies and it was agreed that Kirsten will check with Terry Cook as it appears as though the vacancies expire in June of 2024 making for a very short term for any new Committee Members. • Funds Available ($4,737.11) — Kristen Nordstrom.
