<br />Finance Committee <br />Minutes <br />January 25, 2024 <br /> <br /> <br />Present: Chair, Jeffrey Pettengill, Vice-Chair, Darlene Furbush, Clerk, Lee Smith, Greg McKelvey, <br />Jamie Schuh, Glenn Thompson, Richard Weiner <br /> <br />Attendees: N/A <br /> <br />Absent: N/A <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Meeting called to order in open session by Chair Pettengill in the Popponesset Meeting Room at the Mashpee <br />Town Hall, 16 Great Neck Road North, Mashpee, MA at 6:30pm. <br /> <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />MOMENT OF SILENCE <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />None at this Time. <br />MINUTES <br />Discussion and approval of the Thursday, January 11, 2024 Finance Committee meeting minutes. <br />A motion was made by Lee Smith to approve the minutes of the January 11, 2024 Finance Committee <br />meeting. <br />Motion seconded by Richard Weiner. <br />Motion passed by Unanimous Consent. <br /> <br /> <br />APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br />N/A <br />COMMUNICATIONS & CORRESPONDENCE <br />Chair Pettengill reported that there was an email sent to everybody from the State Ethics Commission regarding <br />the Conflict of Interest Law online training. He stated that it has to be completed by February 18, 2024. <br />The Committee Members received the Town of Mashpee’s Anti-Discrimination and Anti-Harassment Policy <br />(Including Sexual Harassment), Policy No. 50. It was stated that it should be read and the acknowledgement <br />form signed no later than February 16, 2024. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />1. Reponses to Finance Committee Questions. <br />There weren’t any responses from the Town Manager at tonight’s meeting. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />1. Review and Discuss FY2025 Department Budget Requests. <br />Lee Smith asked if Greg McKelvey could share any information regarding the CIP meeting. <br />Mr. McKelvey shared some information. There are no numbers being shared as Mr. McKelvey did not have his <br />notes with him at this meeting and the accuracy of the figures cannot be verified. <br />He stated that the CIP meeting focused mainly on short money items such as a new ambulance. He said the new <br />ambulance is being paid for by ambulance receipts and only requires approval to buy by the Town. <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br />
