Town of Mashpee <br /> ins, , seta 16 Great fleck Road North <br /> r� g Mashpee, MA 02649 <br /> ADA Committee Meeting Minutes <br /> Ockway Meeting Room <br /> Thursday, September 14, 2023 2:00 p.m. <br /> Present: Merrill Blum, David Morris, Colleen Meehan, and Kim Landry <br /> Absent: Jaime Curley and John Cotton <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> The meeting opened and was called to order by Mr. Blum at 1:57 PM. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> A Motion was made by Mr. Morris and seconded by Mr. Blum to approve the draft meeting <br /> minutes dated May 11, 2023; unanimous vote to approve. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> 1. Disability Brochure <br /> Chairman Blum handed out a draft Disability Committee Resource Guide for review that he <br /> had prepared. Ms. Meehan said that she will contact the COA for additional resources that <br /> the committee should consider adding to the resource guide. She also recommended that <br /> the guide have a section that lists agencies that have equipment available, especially when <br /> the need is unforeseen and equipment is needed immediately.The Town does not stockpile <br /> medical equipment and the committee thought it could be due to a liability issue. Ms. <br /> Meehan will also reach out to the Masons and another potential resource in Hyannis. Ms. <br /> Landry will reach out to Superintendent DeBoer to see if the graphic arts department at the <br /> high school could assist in printing the committee's brochure once finalized. The committee <br /> also discussed the possibility of having a link on the ADA webpage to the brochure. <br /> 2. Guest Speaker, COA Director <br /> Ms. Landry will reach out to Heidi McLaughlin to see if she is able to attend the November <br /> meeting. <br /> 1 <br />
