Collaboration with Council on Aging <br /> Ms. Meehan will forward the email thread she had with the COA Director in regard to <br /> creating a partnership between the COA and the committee to offer classes for the disabled. <br /> 7. South Cape Beach <br /> Chairman Blum will follow up with the DPW Director and Recreation Director in regard to <br /> the six (6) handicapped parking spots currently available at South Cape. He was unsure as to <br /> how many spots should be available with the parking lot being in such disrepair. He also <br /> added that there is not a van disabled parking spot available. Ms. Landry had originally <br /> reached out to the DPW Director in June, but did not hear a response. <br /> 8. Steeple Street—ADA non-compliance action by Building Commissioner <br /> The owners had applied for a waiver in regard to a dressing room. Mr. Morris shut that down. <br /> 9. Mashpee Housing Authority— Non-compliance issue <br /> This agenda item was not discussed. <br /> ADDITIONAL TOPICS (matters not reasonable anticipated by Chair) <br /> Ms. Landry to reach out to committee member Jaime Curley in an informal email about the <br /> possibility of stepping down from the committee and assigning another member to represent the <br /> schools. Ms. Curley has been unable to attend meetings this year. <br /> Dove Foundation mail to the Committee — Chairman Blum will follow up in regard to the <br /> individual that needs a kidney donor to see if he is a veteran and what services may be available. <br /> Homework — Chairman Blum distributed an ADA compliance document titled, "Checklist for <br /> Existing Facilities version 2.1" for members to review and discuss at the November meeting. <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> Mr. Morris made a motion to adjourn the meeting.
