The meeting <br />schedule fort e Charter Review Committee is as follows: <br />November 6, 2023 <br />November 27, 2023 <br />December 11, 2023 <br />Meetings will begin at 6:30 pm. <br />f ylv w Discuss "Charter Review Notes" and Excel spreadsheet consolidation <br />There was general discussion among the members about the following: <br />Recall of Elected Officials procedures: <br />Mary Waygan — big numbers needed; math to recall is incredible. <br />Don Myers — Easy to do; Rodney Collins - not so easy to do a recall, whereas appointed officials can <br />be removed more easily for just cause. <br />John Miller: The following are for discussion at a meeting soon: Change to timeline of budget <br />submissions, someone other than Town Clerk can do the Oath of Office for employees and officials, <br />screening committee for hiring a the Town Manager's successor process. <br />Mary Waygan—The following committees should be included in the Charter: Environmental Oversight <br />Committee, Affordable Housing Committee, Human Services Committee, Mashpee Inclusion and <br />Diversity Committee, and others. <br />Don Myers— Disagreed with Ms. Waygan. The committees listed are advisory only to the Select Board, <br />not needed to be in the Charter. <br />
