2 <br /> Community Preservation Committee <br /> Minutes <br /> February 8,2024 <br /> Present: Arden Russell, Brian Hyde Mary Waygan,Lynne Barbee,Richard Klein, <br /> Michaela Wyman-Colombo, Sandi Godfrey,Judy MacDougall <br /> Attendees: Ted Schmuhl listened remotely via telecommunication <br /> Meeting Called to Order by Chairman Russell at 7:05 p.m. <br /> Ockway Bay Meeting Room <br /> For informational purposes,the CPC meeting was recorded. <br /> PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> With the passage of Article 12 of the October 16, 2023 Town Meeting warrant, Talia Landry <br /> asked if it possible to pay off the bond associated to 400 and 409 Main Street(Route 130). The <br /> bond principal is$137,650 and it is due to expire in 2026. <br /> Ms. Landry also inquired with respect to a possible conservation restriction on the subject lands. <br /> It was noted the property was purchased with initial funds from the Land Bank under the <br /> provisions of Chapter 293 of the Acts of 1998, an Act relative to the establishment of the Cape <br /> Cod Open Space Land Acquisition Program. Thus, there is no conservation restriction,the land <br /> falls under the purview of the Select Board. Land Bank land if it is transferred is required to <br /> remain in its natural state. Ms. Landry indicated the project would utilize approximately 8-acres; <br /> this includes the 35 Lake Avenue site. <br /> MINUTES <br /> Thursday January ml$ 2024,ReularwSession: <br /> Motion made by Mr.Hyde to accept the Regular Session minutes of Thursday, <br /> January 18,2024 as printed. <br /> Motion seconded by Ms. MacDougall. <br /> VOTE: 8-0.
