*APPROVED 1-30-2024* Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Committee Minutes January 18, 2024 <br /> • Information Technology (originally scheduled 1-10-2024) <br /> Palo Alto Firewall Replacement $ 40,000 <br /> Desktop PC Replacements (Qty: 75Near) $ 60,000 <br /> Total Information Technology $ 100,000 <br /> Information Technology Director David DelVecchio gave a brief presentation of the items in the above table. <br /> Need a new firewall as the old one is close to the end of its useful life. The computers are on a plan to <br /> replace the computers at regular intervals. <br /> Thayer: Do either of these items qualify for MCAT(Cable) funds? <br /> DelVecchio: Yes, both items do as per the cable policy, <br /> Collins: Any more questions?There were none. <br /> COMMUNICATIONS &CORRESPONDENCE <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> • Discussion and Possible Approval of Capital Improvement Submissions and Five-Year Capital <br /> Improvement Plan (Deferred from 1-12-2024 meeting) <br /> Collins: All of the requests will not be able to be funded.This coming week he is meeting with finance team <br /> to discuss FY 25 budgets. We need to cut to avoid an override. The CIP approved items are dependent on the <br /> available funds. <br /> McKelvey: What funds are in the Capital Stabilization Fund?Thayer: $3.1 million is in there currently and as <br /> per Select Board Policy, Special Town Meeting will add approximately$2.3 million for a total of about$5.4 <br /> Million. <br /> Thayer: Do we have an amount we want to leave in the Capital Stabilization Fund?
