<br /> <br />MINUTES <br />BETTERMENT HEARING – SEA OAKS CONDOMINIUMS <br />MASHPEE BOARD OF SEWER COMMISSIONERS <br />THURSDAY FEBRUARY 16, 2023, 6:30 p.m. <br />MASHPEE TOWN HALL <br />WAQUOIT MEETING ROOM <br />16 GREAT NECK ROAD NORTH <br />MASHPEE, MA 02649 <br />*In-person, televised meeting* <br /> <br />Present: Chair, Chad Smith, Vice-Chair, Meredith Harris (via Zoom), Clerk, Catherine Castaneda, <br /> Interim Town Engineer, Ray Jack, Phyllis Sprout <br /> <br />Other Attendees: Penny MacDonald – Sea Oaks <br /> Jim Brooks – Sea Oaks <br /> Kathy Jacobson – Sea Oaks <br /> Jill Campbell – Barkan Management, Management Company for Sea Oaks <br /> Ken Houston – Sea Oaks <br /> Susan (no last name provided) – Sea Oaks <br /> There were approximately 37 attendees at the Hearing <br /> <br />Absent: Al Towle <br /> <br />6:30PM – Convene Meeting Chairman, Chad Smith called the meeting to order at 6:30PM in open session at <br />Mashpee Town Hall, Waquoit Meeting Room. <br /> <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> <br />MOMENT OF SILENCE <br /> <br />PUBLIC PARTICIPATION <br /> <br />Penny MacDonald asked if the $145.05 will be charged per month or per year and it was answered that it will <br />be per year. <br /> <br />Jim Brooks inquired if the assessment will be charged once the system is up and running and the answer was <br />yes by Chair Smith. He then inquired about individual hook-ups and Mr. Smith explained that the individual <br />unit owners are responsible for hooking up to the system. Mr. Smith suggested hiring only one contractor for <br />the community as that would be most beneficial. Mr. Brooks asked if there will be individual tanks for each <br />building and Mr. Jack responded there will be and that it will be the building that will tie into the system, not <br />the individual units. <br /> <br />Kathy Jacobson asked it the figure will be a part of the annual tax bill or if it will be a separate bill and it was <br />stated that it will be a part of the tax bill. <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br />
