<br /> <br />SHELLFISH COMMISSION <br />MEETING MINUTES <br />APRIL 9, 2024 – 6:00PM <br />MASHPEE TOWN HALL – 16 GREAT NECK ROAD NORTH <br />WAQUOIT MEETING ROOM <br /> <br />PRESENT: Chair, Peter Thomas, Co-Chair, Dick Cook, Shellfish Constable, Chris Avis, <br /> Darryl Christensen, Bill Holmes, Jaime Pachico, Dwight Pfundstein <br /> <br />OTHER ATTENDEES: Lisa and Joe Bohnenberger <br /> John Quiterio <br /> <br />ABSENT: Buddy Pocknett <br /> <br />CALL MEETING TO ORDER: Chair Thomas called the meeting to order in Open Session in the <br />Waquoit Meeting Room at 6:00PM. <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENT: None at this time. <br /> <br />MINUTES: Discussion and approval of the March 12, 2024 Shellfish Commission Meeting minutes. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Darryl Christensen to accept the March 12, 2024 Shellfish Commission <br />Meeting minutes. <br />Motion seconded by Bill Holmes. <br />Motion passed by unanimous consent. <br /> <br />COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE: <br />Chair Thomas took a moment to welcome the newest Member of the Shellfish Commission, Dwight <br />Pfundstein. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS: <br /> <br />1. Aquaculture Grant: Reapplication by Lisa and Joe Bohnenberger. <br />Chris Avis stated that Lisa and Joe Bohnenberger had started the application process 4 to 5 years ago and <br />it got delayed due to the pandemic and a few other reasons. Joe is now actively trying to get it approved <br />and it was noticed that the application had expired. <br />Chris said that the Waterways Commission is basing their approval on their prior approval and that has <br />already gone through. <br />The DMF will do another site survey. Everything is staying the same. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Chris Avis to approve Aquaculture Grant reapplication of Lisa and Joe <br />Bohnenberger as previously submitted. <br />Motion seconded by Darryl Christensen. <br />Motion passed by unanimous consent. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br />
