<br /> <br />MASHPEE COMMUNITY GARDEN ADVISORY COMMITTEE (MCGAC) <br />MEETING MINUTES <br />January 17, 2024 @ 7:00 P.M. <br />Popponesset Meeting Room <br /> <br />PRESENT: Chair, Kirsten Nordstrom, Frank Gallello, Brian Logan (via Zoom), Polly Minugh (via Zoom), <br />Roslyn Robinson Mann (via Zoom) <br />ABSENT: N/A <br />GUEST ATTENDEES: None at This Time. <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER: Chair, Kirsten Nordstrom called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m at the Mashpee Town Hall, <br />16 Great Neck Road North, Mashpee, MA in the Popponesset Meeting Room. <br /> <br />DISCUSS AND APPROVE MINUTES OF OCTOBER 18, 2023 MCGAC MEETING AND NOVEMBER 15, 2023: <br />(Note: There was no December Meeting) <br />A motion was made by Mr. Gallello to approve the minutes of the October 18, 2023 MCGAC meeting. <br />Motion seconded by Polly Minugh. <br />Motion passed by unanimous consent. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Mr. Gallello to approve the minutes of the November 15, 2023 MCGAC meeting. <br />Motion seconded by Polly Minugh. <br />Motion passed by unanimous consent. <br /> <br /> COMMUNICATIONS & CORRESPONDENCE: <br />Chair Nordstrom stated that one person reached out requesting to be put on the waitlist. She is a non- <br />resident. Chair Nordstrom told her that only Mashpee residents are eligible and she said the woman <br />understood. <br /> OPEN PLOTS AND WAITLIST <br />Chair Nordstrom stated that there hasn’t been any changes since November and as it stands there are 3 open <br />plots, 3 people on the waitlist and 1 person with a request for a large plot should one become available. <br />She also stated that within the next couple of weeks a notice will be going out to remind people to get their <br />applications and payments in. <br /> <br /> REPORTS <br /> <br /> Volunteer Hours 2024 season reset – Polly Minugh. <br /> <br />Polly has agreed to maintain and track the volunteer hours. She questioned whether there is a clear objective <br />for tracking the hours as last season there didn’t seem to be a need for requiring people to volunteer 2 hours <br />per month. She suggested that if the Committee foresees two or three major events that will require <br />volunteers to notify the gardeners that they will be required to attend at least one of the events and she will <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br />
