Property has an existing fenced yard.
Ms. Deborah Mack and Kurt Palluccio presented their request to apply for a kennel license
for seven small dogs. The yard is fenced in, and there's another fenced area next to the
porch/patio area. Mr. Palluccio said he built a gate off the porch to an additional fenced area,
and the dogs are not outside unless someone is at home to watch them.
The Committee received a letter from the direct abutter who had noise concerns. Mr. Palluccio
said that he has control over the dogs if they start barking, and brings them back into the
house, and is very respectful to his neighbors. Mr. Palluccio said that his dogs are very
friendly, and he has not had any safety issues.
Evan Lehrer, Community Development Director/Town Planner
Mr. Lehrer stated that this is an allowed use in the District, and there has been no complaints
issued to his office or the police department's office. In his own opinion, there wouldn't be a
need for new fencing at this time. That could be re-evaluated in the future.
I
