Minutes of Meeting <br /> Plan Review Committee <br /> Tuesday, February 6, 2024 <br /> Mashpee Town Hall Waquoit Meeting Room <br /> Mr. Lehrer asked for the following conditions; to follow the bylaw as mentioned by Captain <br /> Rose, that all the dogs each have the appropriate licenses, are vaccinated, and that there are <br /> no safety issues. <br /> Zack Seabury, Health Agent <br /> Mr. Seabury confirmed that there is a chain link fence on the property. There hasn't been any <br /> complaints in the Board of Health office. Mr. Seabury stated that a meeting is required with <br /> the Board of Health to obtain the kennel license, and is scheduled for February 7, 2024. Mr. <br /> Seabury recommended the license, and if there are any complaints in the future, it will be re- <br /> evaluated by the Board of Health. The kennel license is for the existing dogs, and if one dog <br /> is gone, it cannot be replaced for the same kennel license. If new dogs are acquired, a new <br /> kennel license would be required for those dogs. <br /> Joe Peltier, Deputy Fire Chief <br /> No issues. <br /> Drew McManus, Conservation Agent <br /> Mr. McManus stated that the dogs require a leach if walking along conservation land. <br /> Thomas Rose, Captain/Acting Police Chief <br /> Mr. Rose stated that he did not receive any complaints. He spoke to the Animal Control Officer <br /> and wants each dog to have a license. Mr. Rose mentioned that under the bylaw the dogs <br /> cannot be outside more than 15 minutes if they're barking, and the dogs need to be <br /> accompanied with someone if outside between 10:00 pm and 6:00 am. <br /> Mr. Lehrer made a motion to recommend approval for issuance of a personal kennel <br /> license with the following conditions: That each of the current dogs are appropriately <br /> licensed locally, and that if the population of dogs increases over time, the addition of any <br /> new dog shall require an issuance of a new kennel license by the Board of Health, and <br /> that the property owners comply with the appropriate bylaws pertaining to dogs in the <br /> residential district. <br /> Mr. Seabury second, yes.
