Minutes of Meeting
Plan Review Committee
Tuesday, May 21 , 2024
Mashpee Town Hall Waquoit Meeting Room
Drew McManus, Conservation Agent
Mr. McManus wanted to know the plan for the snow storage on the lot. Mr. Lizardi stated
that it is required to show the snow storage area which will be at the end of the main aisle
where ever that aisle will be prepared and to avoid the drainage area.
Mr. McManus is hoping that there is a maintenance agreement for the storm water swale.
Mr. Lizardi will submit the Storm Water Report with the filing for the ZBA.
Mr. Lehrer wants the ZBA to condition that the O&M Report is signed by the property
owners to ensure continued maintenance of that lot.
Catherine Laurent, DPW Director
Ms. Laurent asked for details of the storage containers, and the material storage areas.
Mr. Lizardi stated that there will be logs, and wood chips storage areas that are for the
trailer containers. There will be other material storage as well.
Mr. Lehrer recommended that Mr. Lizardi provide more information for the Board of
Appeals exactly what those materials are and to be delineated on the plan. The applicant
must know what the material will be stored on the lot.
Ms. Laurent asked about access needed for tractor trailers or other trucks to off load or
load material as well as access for Fire Department apparatus.
Mr. Lizardi will reach out to the applicant to find out what will be stored, and how many
containers.
Ms. Lehrer stated that there will probably be a lot more storage than is proposed that
could impact access and the Board will need to impose conditions. There are other items
that will need to be answered at the time of the public hearing, so more detailed
information would be beneficial.
Drew McManus, Conservation Agent
Mr. McManus wanted clarification and to identify the actual log pile storage area. The
back of this lot to the north is open space and is part of the Evergreen Circle subdivision
and is effectively conservation land. There should be no storage of logs in that area.
Anything that is considered "soft-wood" variety, i.e., pitch pine, white pine because
leaching of sap attracts beetles. Mr. McManus would like a condition that "no storage of
logs" in that area.
4
