Finance Committee <br />Minutes <br />May 16, 2024 <br /> <br /> <br />4. Review Last Town Meeting and the Finance Committee Report. <br /> <br />The Committee reviewed the Town Meeting. Chair Pettengill stated that there were a lot of questions put out <br />to the Finance Committee. He said that the questions weren’t anything negative and were just looking for <br />clarification. <br />The Committee discussed their vote to Not Recommend Article #10 of the Special Town Meeting Warrant. It <br />was stated that the Committee would be reneging on their fiduciary responsibility to pass the article without <br />having the time or information to properly vet it. <br /> <br />5. Complete with Glenn Thompson. <br /> <br />Chair Pettengill thanked Mr. Thompson for the time and input that he contributed to the Committee. <br />The Committee Members thanked Mr. Thompson and wished him luck. <br /> <br />6. Reorganize the Finance Committee. <br /> <br />Chair Pettengill stipulated that any new positions will take effect at the end of the meeting and the Committee <br />Members agreed unanimously. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Lee Smith to nominate Jamie Schuh to Chair the Finance Committee. <br />Motion seconded by Darlene Furbush. <br /> <br />There was a call for any other nominations or discussion. <br /> <br />Mr. McKelvey made a motion to Move the Vote. <br />Motion seconded by Darlene Furbush. <br /> <br />VOTE: Passed 7-0-0 <br /> <br />Roll Call Vote: <br /> <br />Mr. Pettengill, yes, Mrs. Furbush, yes, Mr. McKelvey, yes, Jamie Schuh, yes, Lee Smith, yes, Glenn Thompson, <br />yes, Richard Weiner, yes <br />Opposed, none <br /> <br /> <br />A motion was made by Jamie Schuh to nominate Jeffrey Pettengill to Vice-Chair the Finance Committee. <br />Motion seconded by Darlene Furbush. <br /> <br />Mr. Pettengill declined the nomination stating that he needs to step away from the leadership of the <br />Committee. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />3 <br /> <br /> <br />
