Proposed pier, ramp, and float with access path. Rep:BSC Group. The concerns included addressing the trees removed and developing a replanting plan,
revising the plan to include the edge of the proposed trail, and ensuring the proposed pier will not
require the removal of any trees. Ms. Raddatz details the new proposal, which includes leaving
the trail as is and stabilizing it as needed once the construction work is completed, a list of the
proposed tree species in the mitigation area, and shifting the pier 5.5 ft to avoid impact on the
resource area. She adds an additional revision stating that the construction crew will have ground
protection and track pads on site if needed. The proposed trail and laydown area will have
sediment controls to the fullest extent for permitting. Ms. Raddatz explains the details of the
laydown area and emphasizes that this will be for the daily storage of materials needed for the
project. She states the final revision was the removal of the statement from the plan, "proposed
dwelling to be permitted under separate application."
*7:21pm Mr. Cook arrives at the meeting*
COMMISSIONERS COMMENTS
Mr. Cook expresses concern about the proposed trail and laydown area and asks for the
reasoning behind not building the dock on the seaward side. Ms. Raddatz assures him that the
proposed area is already cleared and will not be impacted.
Mr. Colombo inquires about how much of the saltmarsh will be covered by the raised
walkway once the project is completed. There will be 19 square feet of saltmarsh covered.
AGENT COMMENTS
Mr. Kent affirms all his concerns have been addressed.
Mr. McManus inquires if any comments were received from the Division of Marine
Fisheries. Ms. Raddatz will follow up with the Agent at a later date. The Agent recommends a
close and issue pending receipt of comments from the Division of Marine Fisheries, and any
comments from DMF will be incorporated into an order of conditions if the project is approved.
5
