JUNE 12, 2024 <br /> MASHPEE ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS <br /> MEETING MINUTES <br /> Chairman Bonvie attended the Design Review meeting, and is concerned with drainage in Zone 2 <br /> and Ground Water Protection area. He wanted to know if there will be treatment within the <br /> catchment area. Mr. Rivera stated that the drain basin is considered treatment. There are two end <br /> sections with stone checks, the main basin and the infiltration subsurface with 2 ft. of basin. <br /> Mr. Bonvie wanted to know how to make certain that hydraulic fluid does not leak into the ground <br /> water. He would like an explanation as how a spill would be handled to capture a spill in the Zone <br /> 2 area. Mr. Bonvie expressed his concern and would prefer a more definitive answer in order to <br /> protect the Town. <br /> Attorney Lawler explained to that his client is under a purchase and sales agreement and was <br /> hoping if a condition could be made to satisfy the Board to vote. <br /> Chairman Bonvie explained that he had a discussion with Mr. Pesce regarding this project prior to <br /> discussing with the Board. Mr. Bonvie mentioned that there was a statement that there will be no <br /> fueling of machinery on the site, and he asked what the process will be to move equipment and <br /> material. <br /> Mr. Rivera explained that the cutting of tree work is done off site. Mr. Bonvie wanted to know <br /> how the material will be moved into the bins at the site. <br /> Mr. Rivera demonstrated that the paved area on the revised plan that the applicant agreed to do. <br /> The low point in the rear of the site creating and installing a grid oil separator that will control and <br /> collect any spills. <br /> Mr. Bonvie wants the TSS removal to be reviewed by Mr. Pesce. Mr. Rivera said that there is no <br /> specific regulations on TSS removal,but Mr. Pesce recommended a 44% TSS removal. <br /> Mr. Bonvie wants Mr. Pesce to absolutely confirm his recommendations. <br /> Mr. Furbush wanted to know what vehicles will be used for the business. Mr. Rivera stated there <br /> will be box trucks, a bucket truck, a skid steer, and a bob cat vehicle. <br /> Mr. Bonvie will be asking Mr. Pesce to answer how the ground water will be protected if there's <br /> an increase in vehicles at this business location. He requested that Mr. Rivera review the ground <br /> water protection regulations and porosity. Mr. Bonvie specifically requested that Mr. Rivera <br /> converse with Mr.Pesce directly, and Mr.Bonvie will relay his questions/concerns with Mr.Pesce. <br /> Attorney Lawler requested a continuance until Wednesday, July 10, 2024. <br /> Mr. Reidy made a motion to accept the Attorney's request for continuance.
