2. Website Revision Review.

Jared Meader said that the Town of Chatham commented on the website. Stating that they
were impressed by the information on it.

3. Wastewater Superintendent Update – Jared Meader.

Jared Meader reported that there has been a lot going on. He distributed a draft copy of the
Sewer Commission’s Rules and Regulations to the Commissioners. He said that it has been
reviewed by the Town Manager’s office. Jared pointed out that the Town’s policies will always
supersede what has been implemented in the Rules and Regulations in case there is any
conflicting information that was missed while being reviewed.

Mr. Meader stated that there will be a GIS flyover next week and there is a meeting scheduled
next week pertaining to a rate study.

It was reported that there has been a change in the staffing plan within the Department.
Originally, the Town estimated that they would need a 4 hour per day operator 5 days per
week. It was recently discovered that, due to the size of the plant and capacity, the Town falls
under Court of Massachusetts Regulations (CMR) which requires 3.2 operators 5 days per week.

Jared said they are putting together the RFPs for sludge hauling and disposal and professional
services.

Vice-Chair Harris asked when the construction of Phase 2 will start and Sandra Tripp responded
that if all goes well with the permitting process construction will start next spring. She stated
that the SRF submittal deadline is in October. She stated that it is 90% complete at this point.

4. Articles passed at Town Meeting, May 6, 2024 – Future Wastewater Direction.

th
The Commission discussed the Articles that were passed at the Town Meeting on May 6. It
was expressed that the Commission is heartened that the Articles pertaining to the wastewater
project were passed overwhelmingly.

Correspondence
None at this Time.

Additional Topics
Catherine Castaneda reported that the 2024 Cape Coastal Conference will be taking place on
th
June 18 in Hyannis at the Emerald Resort. She stated that it is opened to Commissioners and
th
Town Personnel and is free. Must register by June 13.

Mr. Towle inquired as to when the Commission should start discussing Phase 3. Sandra said
that Phase 3 will be incorporated into the Phase 2 design.
3
