Town of Mashpee PublicHealth <br /> 16 Great Neck Rd North <br /> INC. ui IT <br /> Mashpee, MA 02649 <br /> „ 4 <br /> Board of Health — Public Session Minutes <br /> Wednesday, June 5, 2024 <br /> Waquoit Meeting Room, Mashpee Town Hall <br /> Board Members Present: Absentee Members: Additional Attendees: <br /> Ernest Virgilio, Chair Zackary Seabury,Health Agent <br /> John Livingston,Vice Chair <br /> Ed Raposa,Clerk <br /> CALL MEETING TO ORDER <br /> 430 <br /> Mr. Virgilio, the Chairman, calls the meeting to order. <br /> PUBLIC HEARING <br /> • Review and approval of BOH Septic Permit Requirement Regulation <br /> A new section has been added to the septic permit requirement regulation addressing <br /> erosion control: <br /> -Issues have arisen where installers have been leaving the dirt out that has been going <br /> down from erosion and going into stormwater drains. <br /> - Put into the permit regulation: if you are working with any material or leaving material <br /> out that is larger than a slope of 0.02 ft per foot of a slope. <br /> - Required to put in a silk barrier or hay bale, etc. <br /> - This will be handled on a case-by-case basis, requesting applicants to list the intended <br /> material to use and whether or not it will be acceptable for the area. <br /> -Implemented DPW to take action on it if they see it. <br /> - The silk barrier should be on the plans so you can see on the contours if the slope is <br /> going to cause any problems. <br /> COMMISSIONERS COMMENT <br /> o Clarification is requested if this will be required on all applications. <br /> o This is a requirement if it's at the slope designated on. <br /> Mr. Virgilio closes the public hearing on the review and approval of BOH septic permit <br /> requirement regulation and opens to public comment. <br /> PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> 1 <br />
