Select board <br />Minutes <br />July 15, 2024 <br />APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS <br />Department pfnPublic„ Works Director CatherineLaurent: Discussion and A iarovai„wof the Foilowin a <br />Teml ora Sig Permit: Annual Hazardous Waste Collection: <br />Department of Public Works Director Catherine Laurent requested approval of (8) signs; 3 square feet to be <br />placed at various locations to announce the Annual Hazardous Products Collection on Saturday, August 17, 2024 <br />at the Mashpee Middle/High School. <br />In accordance with Policy, signage would be installed one week prior to the collection and removed after the <br />collection ends. <br />Motion made by Selectman Weeden to approve the Temporary Sign Permit Application for the Annual <br />Hazardous Waste Collection as presented. <br />Motion seconded by Selectman Cotton. <br />VOTE: 5-0. Unanimous. <br />Roll Call Vote: <br />Selectman Sherman, yes Selectman Weeden, yes Selectman Wyman -Colombo, yes <br />Selectman Cotton, yes Selectman O'Hara, yes Opposed, none <br />Award of Contracts: <br />Desi Lij n1 ineerin Servicesfor1"!✓Iashlaee School HVAC Projects Raymond Desl Associates, Inc.,: <br />It is the recommendation of the Selection Committee to award a contract for design/engineering services for the <br />Mashpee School FIVAC projects to Raymond Design Associates, Inc. of Rockland, MA. The proposed contract <br />fee of $120,000 with a non -to -exceed allowance of $17,000 for as needed additional service would fund the <br />initial phase of the project which is the completion of an expanded feasibility study. <br />The study will provide options for how improvement of air quality and the provision of air conditioning can be <br />accomplished. This is the best approach to replace or supplement the HVAC at each school; the Middle -High <br />School and the Quashnet School. <br />Motion made by Selectman Cotton to award a contract to Raymond Design Associates, Inc. for <br />Design/Engineering Services for the Mashpee School HVAC Projects as presented. <br />Motion seconded by Selectman Wyman -Colombo. <br />VOTE: 5-0.
