6 <br /> Select Board <br /> Minutes <br /> July <br /> PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> Greg McKelvey, Menemsha Road offered comment on several agenda items of discussion which includes <br /> Regulation 25 noting that it is important to hear other perspectives and offer guidance. With regards to <br /> wastewater Mr. McKelvey stated the Wastewater Superintendent has great ideas and options that should be <br /> considered. Support was also given to the updated Parsonage MOU, a property of historical value to the <br /> community. <br /> Brian Weeden,Main Street also spoke in support of the MOU before the Select Board for the Parsonage <br /> Restoration project. Mr. Weeden stated the building is a part of Tribal land and the Town's history located in the <br /> Historical District. After the recent fire it is hopeful the project will move forward. Mr. Weeden requested the <br /> Select Board consider extending the deadline of the MOU as the timeline is not realistic. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Discussion and Al l royal of Sl ecial,Event Annual NiIJit Out,,Public Safet y,Coml�lexw�„8/7/2024�5.30 7 30 pM: <br /> The Select Board was in receipt of a Special Event Application from Bryan Burke of the Mashpee Police <br /> Department for the Annual Night Out,a community police awareness fundraising event hosted by the Mashpee <br /> Police Community Service Unit to continue to build strong bonds between the community and first responders. <br /> The event planned to be held on the lawn area between the Police and Fire Departments will be held on August <br /> 7,2024 from 5:30 p.m.to 7:30 p.m. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Weeden to approve the Special Event Application of the Mashpee Police <br /> Community Service Unit for the Annual Night Out as referenced. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cotton. <br /> VOTE: 5-0.
