<br />Finance Committee <br />Minutes <br />August 22, 2024 <br /> <br /> <br />Present: Chair, Jamie Schuh, Vice-Chair, Lee Smith, Clerk, Darlene Furbush, <br />Greg McKelvey, Mike Milbury, Jeff Pettengill <br /> <br />Attendees: Arden Russell, Chair, Community Preservation Committee <br /> <br />Absent: Richard Weiner <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Meeting called to order in open session by Chair Schuh in the Popponesset Meeting Room, Mashpee Town Hall, <br />16 Great Neck Road North, Mashpee, MA at 6:30pm. <br /> <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />MOMENT OF SILENCE <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />None at this Time. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />Discussion and approval of Thursday, August 15, 2024 Finance Committee meeting minutes. <br />A motion was made by Darlene Furbush to approve the minutes of the August 15, 2024 Finance Committee <br />meeting with amendment. <br />Motion seconded by Greg McKelvey. <br />Motion passed with unanimous consent. <br /> <br />APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br />N/A <br /> <br />COMMUNICATIONS & CORRESPONDENCE <br />N/A <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />N/A <br /> <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />1. Town Manager Updates. <br />N/A <br /> <br />2. Discuss Draft Warrants. <br />Arden Russell was in attendance to answer questions that the Committee has pertaining to Article #’s 2, 3 & 4 of <br />the Warrant. <br />Arden reported that Article #2 of Draft #3 of the Town Meeting Warrant will be withdrawn. <br />Arden stated that Article #3 of Draft #3 of the Town Meeting Warrant is for the purchase of land at 475 Nathan <br />Ellis Highway. She said that they have not finalized negotiations with the current owners. She stated that they <br />have an appraisal in hand and have made an offer to purchase.
