Marie Stevenson, Dan Kupferman, Rolf Brandt, Richard Klein, Winnie Johnson- <br /> Graham, Mohamad Fand, Bronwen Walsh — The Enterprise, Chuck Augit- Invited Guest, <br /> Daphne Burt- Invited Guest <br /> Absent: Patricia DeBoer, Gail Wilson, Katie Hennessey, Rowela Kent, Kim Landry <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Chair Stevenson called the meeting of the Mashpee Inclusion and Diversity Committee to <br /> order at 5:07P.M. <br /> LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT <br /> Today we acknowledge this meeting is being held on ancestral lands of the Wampanoag Tribe, <br /> also known as People of the First Light. We pay respects to their elders past and present. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES — March 19, 2024 <br /> No quorum, postponed until next meeting. <br /> MEMBER UPDATES <br /> Column <br /> April is autism awareness month. Mr. Kupferman stated the column will be issued this Friday. <br /> Mashpee's own Isabeau Miller, alongside Teddy Marsh, coproduced a show about school kids <br /> who have autism, and it went to Broadway. The roles were all played by autistic actors and <br /> actresses. Mr. Kupferman also spoke with other people who were able to contribute to his write <br /> up. There is a panel at the Orpheum Theatre in Chatham about leveling the playing field <br /> through the performing arts. <br /> Diversity Coalition <br /> Some members of the Coalition will have tables at Race Amity Day. This year marks MIDC's <br /> fourth RAD festival. The Chair would like to have a gathering at Naukabout Brewery after the <br /> festival for anyone who would like to attend. <br /> There is a lot of push back on DEI groups, it is important that we talk about what it is we do. It <br /> is important that these local incidents of bullying and racism be addressed. <br /> 1 <br />
