<br /> Joanne Frye was in attendance on behalf of the Mashplee Warnpanoag'.Fribe to request the Select Board approve the
<br /> Annual Orange Shirt Day to honor the 1000+ Native American Children that died in.Residential Schools in the
<br /> United States and Canada.
<br /> Witb the Select Board's approval, orange flags and banners would be placed in the outside areas of the Masbpee
<br /> Rotary. Within the hiner circle a small dnimraing group is planned. For safiqy there will be Tribal police present.
<br /> Recommendations for safety were noted to be discussed with theMashplee Police.Department., This is the third
<br /> year of the event. 1,ast year, it was very successfitil with no reported incidents.
<br /> Stipulations imposed by the DPW in accord.with policy state the flags shall.not be placed at the Rotary until
<br /> Tuesday,September 24, 2024 and removed on September, 30, 2024 after the event,
<br /> Motion made by Selectman Wynian-Coloinbo to approve the Special Event Application to include temporary
<br /> iign-Age for the Annual Orange Shirt Day'-At the Mash-pee Rotary from September 24 through September 28,
<br /> 2024 and on September 30, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

<br /> highlights of the Blond i&s-Lte on September 27, 2024. ThLe Town of Mashpee bid for a General Obligation Bond of
<br /> $5,320,000 was held on September 17, 2024., A total of 14 bids were received ranging fire arm. a true interest cost of
<br /> 2,59% to 2,36%. The winning bid was received ffinn Fidelity, Capital Markets at a rate of`236%.
<br /> The bc.)nds will be resized to use the prernium, less issuance co.,sts that was given to decrease the principal amounts.
<br /> The premium was $440,966.10,
<br /> The'fown of'Mashpee continues to maintain its.AA..A rating with Standard and Poor. The cn,idm ok.is stable with no,
<br /> negative outlook. The S & P was noted to be.pleased witlihow the Pown is financially managed. Regarding the
<br /> Town and its wastewater j1plan, there is confidence Mashplee would retains.the.AAA rating as a result of several
<br /> factors including the policies in,place, the reserve levels and strong financial.team.
