Mr.
Meader noted that the WRRF is in a no fly zone for the Base, however he would attempt to obtain
approval from the Base on behalf of the Town for a drone flyover of the WRRF.
He then updated the Collection System as follows:
• Collection System North reached substantial completion in June. They are currently working
on the close out and punch list.
• They are continuing roadway restoration and cleanup and are finalizing pump station work for
Collection System South.
He then provided a financial summary of each of the above as follows:
• The WRRF continues to advance in the same trend as in prior months. It remains under budget,
but there will be some increase in rate of spending as they proceed toward closure as a natural
result of getting all of the equipment working together.
• Collection System North is also running under the adjusted budget amount. It's anticipated it
will be below budget, which is an advantage of unit price contracts.
• Collection System South is running slightly over the anticipated expenditure, but the projected
trajectory shows it meeting the budgeted amount.
Mr.Wenger then presented updates for the phases as follows:
Phase 1 Alternate Rebid (Phase 1A)
• Progress meetings began on August 14,2024
• Submittals are ongoing for the project to GHD for review and approval
Phase 2 Design
• Survey and Boring crews have been active, but are currently paused pending permissions on
private roads
• The archealogical survey will begin shortly
• 60%design for two of four areas are complete
• 60%progress on the linear pump station design is being developed
• 60%of the treatment plant improvements are being submitted for review
• Permitting is ongoing
• Development of the groundwater discharge permit is ongoing
Mr.Towle requested Mr.Wenger share with the Sewer Commission the presentation for this meeting
that was unable to be shared. Mr.Wenger replied that he would share the presentation.
Mr.Towle went on to ask about the status of the motor control centers. Mr.Wenger replied that they
had been informed of a delay and that it hasn't improved any. It is pushing the project out
2
