07 <br /> Town of Mashpee Sewer Commission <br /> sw <br /> 16 Great Neck Road North <br /> Mashpee, MA 02649 <br /> Meeting Minutes of the Mashpee Sewer Commission <br /> Thursday, September 19, 2024; 2:00 PM <br /> Mashpee Town Hall -Waquoit Meeting Room <br /> 16 Great Neck Road North, Mashpee, MA 02649 <br /> *In-person and televised meeting* <br /> Present: Chair, Meredith Harris; Clerk, Catherine Castenada; Commissioner Phyllis Sprout; Commissioner <br /> Joseph Lyons; and Wastewater Superintendent,Jared Meader <br /> Chair, Meredith Harris called the meeting to order at 2:00 p.m. in open session. <br /> The Pledge of Allegiance was recited followed by a moment of silence. <br /> Minutes <br /> Chair Harris noted that the review and approval of the August 15, 2024 Sewer Commission meeting <br /> minutes would need to be delayed until the next meeting on October 3, 2024. <br /> Public Comment <br /> Public Comment was made by Chris Ball from Mashpee TV. He informed the Commissioners that there <br /> is now a high definition Channel 1072. All live broadcasted meetings will continue to be on Channel 8 <br /> and 1072 until Comcast chooses to shut down Channel 8. He stated that the high definition Channel <br /> 1072 would only work with X1 box from Comcast which most people have. Try the 1072 Channel and if <br /> you see Mashpee TV,then you have it. If you don't see it,then call 1-800-COMCAST and they can send a <br /> tech for approximately$70 or bring your box to an Xfinity store and swap out your box for no charge. <br /> To take best advantage of the HD we'll be showing a cross section of all our public, government and <br /> educational broadcasts we do. You'll see the quality is much better. <br /> Mr. Ball shared that there are three ways to get recordings of public meetings: <br /> 1. The night of a meeting,go to Town of Mashpee Website and Meeting Videos; click on the LIVE <br /> button <br /> 2. Town of Mashpee You Tube site—live <br /> 3. Day after the meetings,you can see it in the archives on the Town of Mashpee Website <br /> Mr. Ball stated that once everyone is switched over to the high definition, Comcast will shut down <br /> Channe18. <br /> New Business <br /> • Sewer Construction Update—GHD <br /> Mr. Drainville from GHD provided a presentation update to the Commission (see 12586951-PRES- <br /> Mashpee Sewer Commission Presentation - 2024-09-17 Construction Update). He noted the tour of the <br /> Wastewater Resource Recovery Facility (WRRF) for the Select Board members and Town Administration <br /> occurred on Tuesday, September 17, 2024. <br /> 1 <br />
