DRAFT CHARTER REVIEW COMMITTEE MINUTES Monday,June 10, 2024 <br /> 4 <br /> Motion made by David Weeden to add to section 7-8(b)for any and all meetings which are not <br /> video recorded, the meeting shall be audio recorded, and the recording shall be submitted to <br /> the town clerk for proper retention, motion seconded by John Miller. <br /> Roll call: <br /> Miller, yes Weeden, yes Collins, yes Furbush,yes Lewis,yes <br /> McKelvey, yes Myers, yes Sherman, yes Waygan, yes <br /> Vote: 9—yes <br /> There was further discussion regarding the wording of 7-8 (d) Quorum - A majority of the <br /> members of the multiple member body then in office shall constitute a quorum, but a smaller <br /> number may adjourn from time to time and may compel the attendance of absent members in <br /> the manner and subject to the penalties prescribed by the rules of the multiple member body. <br /> This section was flagged for legal counsel to make it crystal clear that the quorum means active <br /> members. <br /> Article 7-9 <br /> There was discussion about striking fifteen (15) days regarding the maximum length for <br /> suspension of appointed individuals of boards/committees, or extending it to sixty (60) days. <br /> This section was flagged for redrafting by legal counsel to clarify and separated employees or <br /> town officers and appointed committee/board members addressed in this section. <br /> Article 7-10 <br /> It was suggested to include the town website for the notice of vacancies. <br /> Motion to adjourn made by Greg McKelvey, motion seconded by Rodney Collins <br /> Miller, yes Weeden, yes Collins, yes Furbush,yes Lewis, yes <br /> McKelvey, yes Myers, yes Sherman, yes Waygan, yes <br /> Vote: 9,yes <br /> Meeting adjourned at 8:37 pm. <br /> Respectfully Submitted, <br /> Stephanie A.
